Employees Quit after Inmates Escape

STRINGTOWN, Okla. (AP) — Two employees at a southern Oklahoma correctional center have resigned after two inmates escaped from the facility over the weekend.

Department of Corrections communications director Terri Watkins says Lance Colbert and Dewayne Motsenbocker escaped through a hole in the Stringtown prison's fence Sunday night.

Watkins says a correctional officer failed to make sure they were back in their cells after a church service.

Colbert was doing time for a Tulsa County murder
