Economics, Electoral Politics, and Elevated Real Estate Values: A Chat with Matthew Yglesias
On this installment of StudioTulsa, we speak by phone with Matthew Yglesias, one of the nation's most widely-read political bloggers and columnists. Yglesias is a business and economics correspondent for Slate in Washington, DC, where he writes the Moneybox blog. He was previously a fellow at the Center for American Progress, an associate editor at The Atlantic, and a staff writer for the American Prospect. Yglesias frequently writes about foreign policy, health care, technology, politics, and related subjects; his latest book is called "The Rent Is Too Damn High." He'll be doing a free-to-the-public reading/signing on Thursday of this week (the 27th) at 7:30pm at the Dilly Deli in downtown Tulsa (at 402 East 2nd Street). The event is jointly presented by the Oklahoma Policy Institute and Book Smart Tulsa. You'll find more 4-1-1 about this event at this page from the OK Policy website.
