Tulsa, OK – Deputy in Tulsa hurt after suspect's car drags him

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A Tulsa County deputy conducting a traffic stop was injured when he was dragged about 20 feet by the suspect's vehicle when the driver decided to flee.

The sheriff's department is looking for 31-year-old Paul Lester Harris in the Saturday incident.

The department says Harris had a felony warrant.

The deputy stopped the vehicle at about 3:30 p.m. on South Gilcrease Museum Road. The suspect drove for a short time after dragging the deputy, then got out of his truck and fled into a wooded area near U.S. Highway 64/412.

The deputy was in fair condition at St. John Medical Center. His name wasn't released.
