Tulsa, OK – Okla. jury convicts man in fatal shootings in Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A Tulsa County jury has convicted a man of felony murder in the fatal shootings of two people more than a year ago.
Jurors found Mario M. Wilson guilty on Friday of felony murder and recommended life imprisonment on each count.
Authorities believe Wilson shot 22-year-old Randy Rush of Tulsa and 29-year-old Michalee Richardson of Modesto, Calif., multiple times on Nov. 7, 2009, at a Tulsa duplex. According to the Tulsa World, prosecutors alleged that Wilson had a deliberate intent to kill and that he shot the two men during the commission of a felony, first-degree burglary.
District Judge Bill Musseman has scheduled an April 4 formal sentencing for Wilson.
Wilson's attorneys with the Tulsa County Public Defender's office couldn't be reached for comment on Saturday.
