Congressman Granted Immigration Facility Tour

Bridenstine's Office

Tulsa Congressman Jim Bridenstine will tour the detention facility at Fort Sill, housing minors who have entered this country illegally, after all. In a news release, the Congressman says the tour is set for this Saturday. He calls it a “showcase tour.”

JIM BRIDENSTINE: “Ordinary Americans have a right to know what is happening in these facilities, how the children are being treated, and what is being done to stop this human tragedy”

The Congressman says he will continue to make unannounced visits to the facility. He was turned away last week by security guard. He blames the problem on the President’s immigration policies and failure to follow the law.

JIM BRIDENSTINE: “Human suffering is escalating because of the failure to enforce the law. The solution is to enforce the laws and stop illegal immigration.”

While Bridenstine is an Oklahoma Congressman, Fort Sill is not in his congressional district.
