Church Van Carrying Children Crashes in Northeast Oklahoma

Wikipedia

ADAIR, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a church van carrying children to Branson, Missouri, crashed on the Will Rogers Turnpike in northeastern Oklahoma and 10 children were injured.

Trooper Dwight Durant says the bus crashed just before 1 p.m. Monday after a rear tire blew out and the van rolled over just west of Adair.

Durant says two children were flown to a Tulsa hospital, another was taken by ambulance to a Tulsa hospital and seven were taken to a hospital in Vinita. He said the children range in age from 5 to 15. He said he did not know their conditions.

The van is owned by the Fresh Fire Outreach Center Church in Shawnee. The church said 20 children and four adults were traveling in three vehicles.
