By KWGS

Tahlequah, OK – After the vote count changed, and incumbent Chad Smith was declared the winner of the Cherokee Chief election, challenger Bill John Baker says he wants a recount. Originally, Baker was announced as the winner by an eleven vote margin, but later, Smith said a recount showed him the winner by seven votes. Baker wants a close inspection of the votes and the reversal. He's demanding a recount.
