Cherokee Chief Recount

Tahlequah, OK – TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) A recount today could determine the winner of a disputed election for principal chief of the Cherokee Nation. More than 15,000 people cast ballots in Saturday's election. Three-term incumbent Chad Smith was declared the winner by a seven-vote margin.
