KWGS News

A project to control flooding in a low-lying area of Bixby begins this week, and it will impact roadways on and off throughout the summer. Vision 2025 Program Director Kirby Crowe says the Haikey Creek Flood Protection Project will increase drainage capacity for three bridges on 131st Street.

Phase one involves bridge work between Garnett Road and Mingo Road. The project is expected to last all summer and each phase will require closure of 131st to through traffic on either side of the bridge replacements.
