Tulsa, OK – Longtime Tulsa amusement park to reopen
TULSA, Okla. (AP) The owners of a longtime Tulsa amusement park that's been closed since 2006 say they plan to reopen in weeks.
Robby Bell said Saturday that Bell's Amusement Park will reopen next month outside the Saturday Flea Market with three or four children's rides planned. Bell said the timing of the opening depends in part on when electrical service can be provided to the operation.
Bell said the amusement park was opened in Tulsa in 1951 by his grandfather. It continued operations until 2006 at the Tulsa Fairgrounds when the Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority did not renew the park's lease.
Bell said the park will be open on Saturday's to start and that he hopes to fully reopen the park in the future.
