Austrian & German Masterworks For Winds on Performance Oklahoma

Marking their 12th anniversary year, the Brightmusic Society of Oklahoma presented their second program of the new season offered in duo venues; at All Soul’s Episcopal Church on Monday, November 17th and at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral on Tuesday, November 18th.

Entitled Austrian and German Masterworks for Winds, the program celebrates the rich history of chamber music writing for wind instruments and features Two Chorale Preludes of Johann Sebastian Bach, Kleine Kammermusik Op 24, No. 2 of Paul Hindemith, Jugend, Op 139a of Sigfrid Karg-Elert, the Humoresque for Woodwind Quintet of Alexander von Zemlinsky and the Quintet for Piano and Winds, Op 16 of Ludwig van Beethoven.
