Another GOP Hopeful in Tulsa

By AP

Tulsa, OK – Newt Gingrich to visit Oral Roberts on Monday

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich is planning a stop at Tulsa's Oral Roberts University next week the same place rival Rick Santorum visited a week ago.

The Oklahoma Republican Party announced Thursday that Gingrich was scheduled to visit Oral Roberts on Monday. He's to speak at 2 p.m. at the Mabee Center on campus.

The state party says it's invited all GOP candidates to visit Oklahoma, which holds its presidential primary March 6th.

Gingrich's campaign says it's focusing on Oklahoma and a handful of other Super Tuesday states as he fights to stay competitive in the race for the nomination.
