Tulsa, Oklahoma – It's that time of year again: Oscar Time. The Academy Awards will air on ABC-TV on Sunday night (the 27th), and this year --- for a change, perhaps? --- it seems like there's not just a few but several outstanding films in the running (among various categories). We're talking about the best and worst in recent movie-making on today's edition of StudioTulsa, and in doing so we're joined by our friend Joshua Peck, who reviews films for Urban Tulsa Weekly, works as an archivist at the Tulsa Historical Society, and also programs the always-terrific Midnight Movie series at the Circle Cinema. What will win the Oscar for Best Picture, and what should? Who's going to take home the honors for Best Supporting Actress? And what's with the whole "3D craze" that now has such a lock (or is it more like a choke-hold?) on the American movieplex? Peck saw close to 250 movies in 2010 --- "all while holding down a full-time job," he grins --- and he's therefore entirely qualified to chat about matters cinematic with our host Rich Fisher.
