3.6 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded near Medford

MEDFORD, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a 3.6 magnitude earthquake near Medford in north-central Oklahoma.

The USGS reports the earthquake was recorded at 3:59 a.m. Tuesday one mile east of Medford, about 90 miles north of Oklahoma City.

Geologists say damage is not likely in earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.
