14-Year Old Arrested for Homicide

File Photo

Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested on a first-degree murder complaint in the shooting death of a 47-year-old Nevada woman who was visiting her parents in Jenks.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office say the boy was also arrested on complaints of second-degree burglary and auto theft.

The teen is accused in the death of Mary Escue, whose body was found Monday night at her parents' home in Jenks.  Escue was in town to visit her parents and attend a graduation ceremony at the University of Tulsa.

Police allege that the boy broke into the home through a bathroom window to look for money. Authorities allege that the boy shot Escue then stole her car.
