1 Dead, 1 Critical in Creek County Stabbing

File Graphic

BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a woman was killed, a man injured and one person arrested in a stabbing in Creek County.

The OSBI said Saturday that 51-year-old Betty Diane Evans was killed and her brother — Robert Evans — was critically injured in the Friday night stabbing.

Authorities say a man was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint in the stabbing — but online court records did not show that formal charges had been filed as of Saturday night.

The OSBI says the motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
