Boise City, OK – 3 from Tulsa area die in Okla. Panhandle crash
BOISE CITY, Okla. (AP) Three people have died after their pickup collided with a tractor-trailer on a remote highway in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Freddie Lee Cornwell of Tulsa, 72-year-old Wanda Carter of Sapulpa and 74-year-old Gerald C. Carter of Sapulpa died in the accident about 11:20 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 287 about 15 miles north of Boise City in Cimarron County.
Tulsa, OK – Okla. magistrate tells DHS to turn over more files
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A federal magistrate says the Oklahoma Department of Human Services must improve the pace of providing case-file information to plaintiffs in a lawsuit over the state's foster-care system.
U.S. Magistrate Frank McCarthy said Thursday if more files aren't turned over, the court could issue orders that DHS may consider to be harsh.
Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Police Department is attempting to locate Kaylah Franks, who has escaped DHS custody with a six-week-old infant. Authorities wish to check on the well-being of Franks and the infant. Franks was last seen yesterday at 9:00 p.m. in the 600 block of South Rockford Avenue in Tulsa. She may still be in the Tulsa area or enroute to Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Franks is described as a sixteen-year-old black female, approximately 5'7" tall and weighing 160 pounds.
