Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma's revenue collections for May are up from the official estimate and from the previous year's numbers. Preliminary reports put collections at nearly $379 million for last month. The state treasurer says that's a sign the state's economy is improving.

I-244 and Hwy 75 re-open

Tulsa, OK – Parts of U.S. 75 and Interstate 244 in Tulsa that were closed after a fertilizer spill have reopened. Authorities say the roads were closed yesterday because a semi truck hauling 78,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate fertilizer tumbled off a ramp and spilled its contents.

Tulsa, OK – It took 61 years for executives and employees of Arrow Trucking Co. to marshal the expertise, capital and assets to transform a small Tulsa trucking company into a premier flatbed carrier.


In a little over eight hours Tuesday, much of the fruit of bankrupt Arrow Trucking Co.'s success was disbursed at public auction for pennies on the dollar.

Big 12 Lives on with 10

Tulsa, OK – After a week of speculation and flurries of false reports, it seems the Big 12 conference will survive.
OU and OSU have confirmed the schools will stay a part of the Big 12. The University of Texas has also pledged to stay within the conference.
Colorado left for the Pac 10 and Nebraska for the Big 10 leaving the Big 12 with 10 schools.

Eastbound Turner Turnpike Update

Tulsa, Okla. – As of about 11 a.m. this morning, one lane of eastbound Turner Turnpike at mm209 has been opened, following this morning's closure of all eastbound traffic there as a result of an accident involving a semi truck. The Department of Public Safety reports that traffic is moving slowly.
