PAWNEE, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Supreme Court has upheld the ouster of a former Pawnee County sheriff accused of willful neglect of duty.

The high court on Tuesday affirmed the November 2010 ouster of former Sheriff Roger Price. A grand jury accused Price of releasing a prisoner who hadn't posted bond and not detaining a man who came to the jail to surrender on an outstanding warrant.

Price filed appealed the jury's decision but the Supreme Court affirmed his ouster.
