Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's show, a chat with Paul Dickson. He has just published a new book called "Unwritten Rules of Baseball: The Etiquette, Conventional Wisdom, and Axiomatic Codes of Our National Pastime." Baseball, of course, is all about rules . . . and stats, and records, and numbers, and so forth. But our focus for this edition of StudioTulsa is the vast and various "grey area" of the Summer Game (in terms of behavior, tradition, norms or standards, and so on).

The Acclaimed Poet and Author James Ragan.

Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's show, we speak with James Ragan. He's written several plays and poetry collections, and has also worked as a screenwriter (on such major films as THE GODFATHER and THE DEERHUNTER). His latest book is a collection of poems called "Too Long a Solitude," and a major theme of this book is far-flung travels both real and imagined. Ragan is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor at OU.

"The Man Who Made Lists" --- and the man behind Roget's Thesaurus.

Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's show, which first aired last year, we speak with Joshua Kendall, the author of a wonderful new biography of Peter Mark Roget, the man who created Roget's Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases (first published in 1852 in London). The book is called "The Man Who Made Lists" --- and it's newly available in paperback. As we learn on today's show, Roget was a rare and gifted hybrid of the scientist and the literary scholar, of the record-keeper and the wordsmith.

Tulsa, OK – Former poet laureate Billy Collins reads poems from his latest collection, "Ballistic" (published by Random House), and talks about his working process. Collins says if one wakes up in the middle of the night with an idea, a writer will get up and write it down. Collins will lecture at the University of Tulsa, Thursday, April 2nd.

"One Voice" Youth Activists Work for Mideast Peace.

Tulsa, OK – Today we hear from two representatives of One Voice, a grassroots youth oriented Mideast peace advocacy group. Itamir Cohen, an Israeli software designer, and Dahlia Labadi, a Palestinian graduate student, share their disagreements on the conflict and their unanimity that a two state solution with a viable peaceful Israel and Palestine is the only answer to a permanent peace in the Mideast.

Economist Dean Baker on the housing bubble and recovery.
