Work's Underway on a Librarium in Downtown Tulsa

KWGS News

Tulsa’s main central library will close next month for a two year renovation, but don’t worry, you’ll still be able to get library services downtown. A Librarium will open to continue library services during the renovation process. Work is underway at the location of an old supermarket at 11th and South Denver. While only a temporary facility, the Librarium will showcase the latest in equipment and technology. Kim Johnson, Library Deputy Director and Chief Innovation Officer, says the project will serve as a trial run for hi-tech services that could become of the new library’s menu.

The Central Library will close August 30th, and the Librarium will open just a few days later on September 3rd.
