Woman in Stand Off at Tulsa Air Guard Base

A woman driving a sport utility vehicle and claiming to have an undisclosed "device" is in a standoff with Tulsa police just outside the Tulsa Air National Guard Base.

Television images from the scene show a sport utility vehicle at the entrance to the base with several police cars blocking it from behind. Streets in the area have been closed.

Sgt. Shane Tuell says the woman has not gotten onto the base, but she said she has some type of a device in the vehicle. Tuell said at one point the woman was driving in circles before stopping on the driveway to the base, which is home to the 138th Fighter Wing.

The base is at the north end of Tulsa International Airport.
