KWGS News File Photo

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A woman has died after having an apparent heart attack and crashing her vehicle into a church in Tulsa.

Authorities say an 85-year-old woman was in the parking lot of Sheridan Christian Center Sunday morning when she shifted her car into reverse and then apparently suffered a heart attack. Police say she pushed down on the accelerator and then crashed into the corner of the church.

Emergency crews pulled the woman from the vehicle and transported her to an area hospital, where she later died.

Sgt. J.J. Peters said there was no pedestrian traffic or other vehicular traffic in the parking lot at the time of the incident.
