The National Weather Service delays the start of the WINTER STORM WARNING for the Tulsa area until 11 a.m. this morning. Below you will find the latest statement for the National Weather Service office in Tulsa:

WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
6 PM CST FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ADJUSTED THE TIMING OF
THE WINTER STORM WARNING AND IT IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS
MORNING TO 6 PM CST FRIDAY...

FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
* IN OKLAHOMA...CREEK...TULSA...ROGERS...PAWNEE...OTTAWA...
WASHINGTON...OSAGE...CRAIG AND NOWATA.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...
* A MIX OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO REACH AREAS NEAR
AND NORTHWEST OF INTERSTATE 44 VERY LATE THIS MORNING...OR MORE
LIKELY THIS AFTERNOON. SLEET AND SNOW ARE LIKELY DURING THE
AFTERNOON. SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO BE IN THE
ONE HALF TO TWO INCH RANGE BY DARK. A SECOND ROUND OF HEAVIER
PRECIPITATION...PRIMARILY SNOW...IS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT INTO
FRIDAY.

* THREE TO SIX INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED
FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM FRIDAY.

POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS
