For the second weekend in a row, people are killed by a wrong-way driver on a Green County expressway. The latest incident happened on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Verdigris, Friday evening.

A 32-year-old Tulsa woman was driving the wrong way on the turnpike and plowed head-on into an oncoming  pick-up truck. The impact killed both drivers. Dead are 32-year-old Crystal Lopez, the driver of the car, and 40-year-old George Landing of Broken Arrow. Passengers were not injured.

The roadway was shut down at Verdigris for a about two hours Friday evening as the wreckage was cleared away.

Last weekend, three people were killed when a car, going the wrong way on Highway 75 near Sperry, hit two motorcycles.
