Wife of Slain Oklahoma Commissioner Files Protective Order

File photo

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The widow of slain Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Mark Costello has requested protective orders against their son, 26-year-old Christian Costello, and his girlfriend.

Oklahoma County court records indicate Cathy Costello asked a judge for protection from her son on Friday. She filed for a similar order against his girlfriend, 48-year-old Ginger R. Rogers, on Thursday.

Christian Costello is charged with stabbing his father to death Sunday night at a north Oklahoma City fast food restaurant. He is being held without bond in the Oklahoma County jail.

The Oklahoman reports that the request for a protective order against Rogers says she has harassed Cathy Costello and her family by telephoning them and "yelling, cussing and telling them they are evil, the devil and something bad was going to happen to them."
