Whole Foods recalls chocolate chip cookies sold in Tulsa
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Whole Foods Market Inc. is recalling a brand of chocolate chip cookies it sells in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas because it discovered the product has nuts even though its labeling indicates it doesn't.
The Austin, Texas-based company announced the recall Thursday after an employee discovered the brand "Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies" has walnuts.
The product is packaged in a small brown paper bag, with a clear window and a chocolate chip cookie label on the front.
The sell-by date and UPC code 2-21485-20399-5 are printed on the back label. All Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies with sell-by dates March 8, 2012, through March 28, 2012, are affected by the recall. The company says no other best buy dates or products are affected.
The company says no illnesses have been reported.
