Oklahoma City, OK – Cold temperatures to moderate this weekend

Bitterly cold air hovering over Oklahoma will begin to moderate on Saturday.

The National Weather Service said a wind chill advisory will remain in effect for 37 counties in northern Oklahoma. Temperatures in southwest Oklahoma should reach the freezing mark, while the rest of the state will see daytime highs in the teens and 20s. Most of the state will be warmer on Sunday.

On Friday, skies were mostly clear and temperatures ranged from 16 degrees in Bartlesville to 33 degrees in Guymon. The mercury peaked at 19 degrees in Tulsa and reached 22 degrees in Oklahoma City and Stillwater.

Skies should be clear on Saturday, with highs ranging from the low teens to lower 30s on Saturday. Lows should range from 7 degrees below zero to the upper teens.
