Water Line Repair

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – New waterline construction on the west side of South Sheridan Road will close East Fourth Street west of Sheridan on Thursday, March 4. The road will reopen on Friday afternoon, March 5.

This is part of a street rehabilitation and waterline replacement project on Sheridan Road between East Admiral Place and East 21st Street. Other lane closures include one northbound lane and one southbound lane on Sheridan Road from Admiral Place to Sixth Street.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $4,374,894 project. Completion is scheduled for May 2011.

This project has received funding through the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009. Street maintenance for Sheridan Road between Admiral Place and East 11th Street was approved by voters in the 2005 Bond Issue. Voters also approved work on Sheridan Road between East 11th Street and East 21st Street in the 2006 Third Penny Sales Tax.
