Voter Turnout Expected to be Light
Likely only 20 percent or less of eligible voters will turn out for the Tuesday ballot on jail expansion and a new juvenile center. Only a small percentage took advantage of the early in-person and mail-in absentee opportunities, usually a sign of what turnout might be on election day. Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Patty Bryant says all polling places will be open from 7am until 7pm.
There are some school and community propositions on the ballot, but the only items on which ALL eligible voters may cast ballots are the criminal justice questions.
