Vacant Problem Housing Being Demolished

KWGS News

The city of Tulsa begins demolishing vacant dilapidated structures in an area frequented by criminals and vagrants. The abandoned quadplexes on 63rd just west of South Peoria are unkempt and unsafe, according to police and city leaders. Major Jonathan Brooks is with the division that patrols the area. He says the vacant run-down structures are havens for vagrants and criminal activity and make the entire neighborhood less safe.

The city started this week demolishing the first of several of the quadplexes which will be coming down.
