UPDATE: Victim was Boyfriend of Officers' Daughter
Authorities say two off-duty Tulsa police officers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager. The officers are married and the victim is the boy friend of their 18-year-old daughter.
Tulsa police say 19-year-old Jeremy Lake was found shot to death Tuesday night on a street near Owen Park, just northwest of downtown. Authorities say a husband the officers turned themselves in to authorities in connection with the shooting.
Authorities say 54-year-old Shannon Kepler was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder and 48-year-old Gina Kepler was arrested on a complaint of accessory to murder after the fact. Both were booked in the Tulsa County jail, and it wasn't immediately clear whether they had attorneys.
Tulsa police spokeswoman Jillian Roberson says both were off duty at the time of the shooting. The Keplers have been with the Tulsa Police Department since 1990.
