The officer in involved in the fatal shooting has been identified as Officer Kevin Warne. Warne graduated the academy in December 2002. He will remain on Administrative Leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

Shem Jovan Lee, B/M, DOB: 07/08/1983, has been identified as the suspect who was shot last evening by TPD. Lee succumbed to his injuries on 09/30/2009 at 6:11 a.m. Harry L. Neal, DOB: 05/04/1986 who was with Lee had two outstanding warrants and was arrested. The other subject who was with Lee was questioned and released. The name of the officer involved in the shooting has not been released.

Tulsa police shoot suspect
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A man was hospitalized after being shot by a Tulsa police officer while fighting with the officer.
His name and condition have not been released.
Police say the 26-year-old man ran from three gang unit officers who saw him and two other men walking in the middle of a city street about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
One officer chased the man and caught him outside a nearby apartment complex. Police say as the officer and suspect fought the man pulled a gun and the officer shot him twice.
The officer's name also has not been released. Police say he will be on administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting.
The other two men were taken into custody for questioning.
