Update on Burned Fire Fighters

Melissa Clark

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Three Tulsa firefighters injured last week while battling a blaze at a school are now listed in good condition.

The fire department says the firefighters suffered third-degree burns and needed skin grafts.

Last week, a fire broke out at the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences and eight firefighters suffered burns. Five of the firefighters were treated and released from the hospital.

The fire broke out before the school day began so no students or employees were injured.

The three hospitalized firefighters are improving but it's not yet known when they'll be released.

The cause of the fire hasn't been released. The state fire marshal's office says its investigation should be finished by Friday.
