Tulsa, OK – Man arrested for impersonating Tulsa firefighter

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A man wanted for impersonating a Tulsa firefighter at the scene of a deadly accident has been arrested by the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say 22-year-old Joel Lack flashed a badge and said he had paramedic experience when he arrived at the scene of the July 9 crash that killed two bicyclists near Sand Springs.

Lack is charged with impersonating a firefighter, interfering with emergency personnel and grand larceny for trying to take medical equipment and drugs. Authorities say Lack left the scene after being questioned.

He was arrested Wednesday and is being held on $100,500 bond.

Court documents say Lack is not and never has been a Tulsa firefighter.

It wasn't immediately known if Lack has an attorney.
