Turley Tank Fire

By AP

Turley, OK – Crews extinguish oil tank fire in NE Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Fire crews have extinguished an oil tank fire in Tulsa County.

Authorities say firefighters were alerted about 3 p.m. Wednesday of the blaze just west of U.S. 75 in the northern part of the county.

Three employees who were at the site stepped away before the fire started and weren't hurt, but a truck was engulfed by flames. Emergency Medical Services Authority spokesman Chris Stevens says there were no other reports of injuries.

Crews also had to put out grass fires caused by the blaze.

Officials don't know what caused the tank fire.
