Tulsa, OK – On our show today, we share a discussion with the well-traveled young conductor Andrew Grams, who'll serve as the Guest Conductor for a concert that the Tulsa Symphony is giving tomorrow night (Saturday the 7th) at 7:30pm at the Tulsa PAC. The program is entitled "Musical Migrations," and it features works by Respighi ("Gli Uccelli," or "The Birds"), Beethoven (the Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring the Crescendo Awards Winner, Shijun Wang), and Schumann (Symphony No.3, a/k/a "the Rhenish"). Grams tells us what he especially likes about each of these three pieces, and also tells us about his own varied experiences and notable accomplishments as a full-time, globe-trotting freelance conductor.
