Students at Hale High School in Tulsa walk out of class at straight-up ten-o-clock this morning. They joined students from all across the nation in protesting gun violence.

The protest comes a month after the fatal shootings at a Florida High School. The protest last 17-minutes. One minute for each of the Florida victims.

Tulsa protest organizer, Hale Junior, Molly Montgomery says last month’s Florida school shootings were eye opening for her. "Those kids were my age", she said.

The students chanted “we demand change”, held signs calling for stricter gun control and asked lawmakers to step up school safety laws.
