Tulsa to Start Picking Up Tree Debris on Monday

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa leaders say the city will soon begin picking up residential debris in the wake of a violent storm system that raked the city with 80 mph wind gusts and damaging lightning.

The special pickups will begin Monday.

Crews will make one pass through the city to collect the debris, so long as residents have hauled and bundled their green waste at the curb. Officials also caution residents not to mix household debris with the green waste.

Residents should cut tree debris into 4-foot or smaller sections and place bundles at the curb. If unable, the city says residents must drag limbs to the curb for pickup.
