Voters in the Tulsa School District approve a $38-million school bond proposal. The bonds will be earmarked for technology and security upgrades for Tulsa Public Schools.
The measure, which needed 60% of the vote to pass, was okayed by 67% of the yes voter. However, less than 14,000 Tulsans voted in yesterday's special election.
Tulsa School Superintendent Keith Ballard thanked supporters on behalf of the school children at a watch party last night at the Tulsa Press Club.
A $1-million bond proposal in the Glenpool School District was also approved yesterday.
