Tulsa, OK – Man investigated in Okla City deaths shot in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A man under investigation in Oklahoma City in the deaths of six people including two fetuses has been arrested after being shot by Tulsa police.

Police say 32-year-old Denny Edward Phillips was shot three times Monday afternoon after pointing a gun at officers who had found him at a Tulsa motel. Capt. Rick Helberg says Phillips is expected to recover.

Phillips was also being investigated in the burglary of a Tulsa police detective's home in which a police uniform and badges were stolen.

Oklahoma County District Attorney says Phillips has been a person of interest since a man and three women two pregnant were found dead Nov. 9 inside a burned home in Oklahoma City. One man has been arrested and charged with six counts of first-degree murder for the deaths.
