TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Tulsa have identified the victim of a fatal weekend shooting.

The Tulsa Police Department Monday identified the victim as 31-year-old Leslie L. Griffin.

Officers and first responders received a call around 3:30 a.m. Saturday about a woman down on a sidewalk. Paramedics found her dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Sgt. Dave Walker says it's possible she could have been shot up to an hour before her body was discovered. Walker says she was described as transient but staying in the area. Her personal effects appeared to have been searched after she was shot.

Walker says witnesses saw a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt standing over the woman's body before she was found. No arrests have been made.

The death is Tulsa's 48th homicide this year.
