Tulsa, OK – One of Tulsa's two police helicopters will return to service tomorrow night. Mayor Bartlett made the announcement today. Pilot Byron Barnhart says the chopper can quickly get across the city and is an asset to ground officers.

The fate of an older helicopter is still pending. Mayor Bartlett says it may be declared surplus and sold.

Then Mayor Kathy Taylor and Police Chief Ron Palmer grounded the helicopters last fall for budget reasons.
