OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — More snow is projected to fall this week in Oklahoma and transportation officials are warning drivers of roads that are already slippery.
The National Weather Service in Norman issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of the state. No precipitation is projected Tuesday but light snow will be possible in the southern part of the state on Wednesday. Snow accumulation of less than one inch is expected.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation urged motorists to use extreme caution when traveling on Tuesday after a storm dumped snow and sleet across the state on Monday. Schools across the state, including the Oklahoma City and Edmond districts, cancelled Tuesday classes.
Department officials say drivers should watch for black ice and be careful on bridges, overpasses and ramps.
