Tulsa Man Dies After Being Shot, Run Over by Car

Tulsa man dies after being shot, run over by car

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Police in Tulsa are searching for a suspect in the death of a man who was shot, then run over by a car.

Sergeant Dave Walker says 22-year-old Manuel Rivas died at a hospital following the incident Wednesday night outside an apartment complex.

Walker says it appears Rivas and another person went to the apartment in connection with a drug purchase and that a fight broke out. Rivas was shot once and ran into the parking lot where he fell and was run over by the car.

Walker says it isn't clear whether Rivas died of the gunshot wound or injuries suffered when he was run over, but that the case is considered a homicide and the unidentified gunman is being sought.
