Tulsa Energy Company Expands Wastewater Reach

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa-based company is expanding its reach with the $116 million purchase of a Texas drilling wastewater disposal firm.

NGL Partners said Tuesday it completed the purchase of Coastal Plains Disposal #1 LLC from WinCo Development LLC of Texas.

The cash and stock purchase gives NGL wastewater disposal subsidiary High Sierra Water additional properties in the Eagle Ford field in south Texas.

NGL senior vice president Jim Winter says the purchase will enable the company to reduce transportation costs.

The Oklahoman reports NGL picks up three disposal wells and an option to add a fourth well. NGL already owns eight disposal wells in the area.

The division will add 40 jobs with the acquisition, bringing its total to 140 workers.
