Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Warns of Police Impersonator

KWGS News

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says a man impersonating a police officer stopped a female driver and groped the woman.

Deputy Justin Green says the woman reported she was stopped on the western edge of Tulsa about noon Friday by a man driving a black and white Crown Victoria with red and blue lights. The woman said the man asked for her license and insurance — and as she reached into her purse he reached into her car and groped her.

The woman said she hit the man and the man hit her in the face before running back to his car and driving away on Highway 64.

The man is described as white, in his 20s with short brown hair and about 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8 inches tall and 180 pounds.
