Tulsa County Passes Rail Resolution

Friends of the Eastern Flyer

Tulsa County leaders pass a resolution on the rail line between Sapulpa and Oklahoma City. It does NOT ask the state to retain the line and NOT sell as some cities and organizations have done. Instead the resolution states if a group studying a possible sale finds passenger service to be viable, then the process should be allowed to proceed unabated. County Commissioner Karen Keith says she personally supports passenger rail service on the line.

The resolution will be forwarded to the legislature and the Governor. Supporters of passenger service say a sale would kill those efforts.
