Funds are being sought to improve an intersection in a rapidly growing area of Owasso. The intersection at 116th Street North and 129th East Avenue is owned and maintained by Tulsa County. Chief Engineer Tom Rains says it’s not adequate to handle the amount of daily traffic.
Traffic is controlled by a flashing yellow and red light, but Rains says widening and signalization is needed. Total cost of the project is more than $3.5 million.
