A half-dozen companies want to provide design and oversight for the expansion of the Tulsa jail. Bids for architectural services have been opened. Sheriff Stanley Glanz says the next step is to evaluate them.

Voters approved tax money to construct four new inmate pods. One will house those deemed to have mental health problems, and another will be strictly for juveniles, where special rules must be followed for those under 18.
